So what's the big secret? To start, we begin with only the best domestic grade 4130 chromoly tube money can buy. From here, we precision cut each tube and tig weld 4130 chromoly inserts into each end, all while holding a welded link length tolerance of plus or minus 1/16". Then the real magic happens. Every link is normalized and heat treated, using proprietary heat treating techniques, to produce a finished link with an incredible yield strength of over 170,000 psi. This makes our control links over 3 times stronger than DOM steel and over 2-1/2 times stronger than 7075 aluminum.
